POWERCAP 2.5 Rechargeable Headlamp Beanie

Made to order. Most orders arrive in about 1 to 2 weeks, and you get tracking once it ships.

A warm hat with a light built in, for the hours before sunrise and after dark.

Think of the walk down to the boat launch at 5 a.m., rigging up on the dock, cleaning fish after the bite, or packing out in the dark. You need both hands for that, and you need your head warm. The POWERCAP 2.5 does both. A soft beanie with a rechargeable headlamp in the front, so there's no strap and no flashlight to hold.

Why we like it

  • Hands free. The light sits in the front of the hat and points where you look.
  • Four brightness settings. Low for rigging and reading a tide chart, high for walking a trail, and max when you really need to see.
  • Rechargeable. Charges with a Micro-USB cable (included). No batteries to carry.
  • Handles wet weather. IPX4 water resistant, so rain and snow are fine, and it survives a drop of up to 1 meter.
  • Washable. Take the light module out and toss the beanie in the wash.

Light modes

  • Low: 15 lumens, up to 10.5 hours, reaches about 8 m
  • Medium: 35 lumens, up to 5.4 hours, about 10 m
  • High: 80 lumens, up to 4 hours, about 15 m
  • Max: 150 lumens, about 50 minutes, about 19 m
